Hello, This is Helen Wang. I am very pleased to have this opportunity to make a brief self-introduction here and hope to get to know you through "HelloChina".

 

I am an BA graduate in 1980's majoring in International Trade and Commercial English. In 2005, I completed my further education on EMBA course,  as well as the learning in a Fashion designing course during the same period.

 

I have been worked in Hong Kong for almost 5 years and base in Guangzhou now. The experiences in Export and Import business had brought me chances to travel to many countries, and learned to work with different people friendly. All the stressful and hard workings have been very much beneficial and made me more independent, mature and resourceful.

 

It was a good timing for me to work with HelloChina, that provide me a platform for international communications, where I expect to use my experiences to serve people by a new channel.

PROPOSAL Our country Timor Leste is a new country and too young, because we just got our independence day on 20th May 2002 seven years ago. Therefore this country needs many developments in many areas and departments, such as: engineering area, economically, technological, social, health, education political, tourism, agriculture etc. Throughout all departments above, this country can get its development and can grow up as well like another country. One of the important department is engineering. So I will prefer to engineering area because engineering is the practical application of science and math to solve problems, and it is everywhere in the world around us. From the start to the end of each day, engineering technologies improve the ways that we communicate, work, travel, stay healthy, and entertain ourselves. Engineers are problem-solvers who want to make things work more efficiently and quickly and less expensively. From computer chips and satellites to medical devices and renewable energy technologies, engineering makes our modern life possible. In particular, electrical engineers and computer engineers have a wide range of study options and career paths that let them design, build, and manage those ideas into reality. The contribution of engineering to the country is on the design of innovative technologies to reduce poverty, promote sustainable development and address other United Nations Millennium Development Goals, in such fields as environmental protection, energy, water supply and sanitation, waste management, use of natural resources, medical care, nutrition, housing, hygiene, disaster protection, mobility, communication and climate change - a key concern of the Mondialogo Engineering Award. As a citizen of this country I need to contribute my self to develop this country with the skills and knowledge that I gained during I was in Technical High School. But the skill that I have recently is not enough and very limit, that is why I am coming to you to ask your help and support in order for me to continue my study over University. I believe that after I graduated from university I will learn and gain more knowledge and skills. Through the University I can also develop my skill and knowledge to become high. Since I was a child I have dreamt to become an engineer in civil construction area. But then I do not prove yet it because my family could not support me. Therefore if I could get any possibility from your agency I would like to prove it soon as possible. In conclusion I am really want to become an engineer in one day in order for me to develop my new country East Timor. If I could get your support, actually I would like to continue my study in my country but in my observation, all universities here doesn't has practicalities equipments, laboratory practicality, and library or we can say incompletely of facilities etc. In my plan if I could get any possibility from you in this time I would like to continue my study in Indonesian country at GADJAH MADA UNIVERSITY (UGM) in Yokyakarta as soon as possible. The reason why I chose Indonesia to seeking knowledge over there, because there has complete facilities, such as: equipment tools for practicality, laboratory, library and etc. I believe that when I finishing my study over Indonesia I will bring more knowledge and skills that I gained to my country. And in the same time I can contribute my self to this country. In my request I have putted amount money. These money I will use it to pay the university, rent house, food, buying books, transportation from my country to Indonesia and to treat also the documents that needed and etc. MY BUDGET PLANING If I could get any possibility from you I would like to continue my study in YOKYAKARTA Indonesia at GADJAH MADA UNIVERISITY (UGM). Because there has complete Equipment for practicality, research practicality etc. BUDGET PLANING  Treat my documents such as: Passport and Visa amount = USD $ 150,00  Transportation from East Timor to Indonesia amount = USD $ 300,00  University Registration = USD $ 50,00  Rent House US $ 50,00/month X 54 months (4,5 Years) = USD $ 2.700,00  Payment per semester US $ 200,00/semester X 9 semesters = USD $ 1.800,00  Research Practicality in the last two semesters = USD $ 500,00  Final Graduation from the University = USD $ 1000,00  Food, transportation, Photocopy and etc per month 75,00x54 months= USD $ 4000,00  Transportation for going back from Indonesia to East Timor = USD $ 300,00 TOTAL = USD $ 9.900,00 In word amount (NINE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS) That is my proposal and hopefully may you will consider my situation recently.
