When you are looking for products suppliers online, but sometimes it seems difficult to find one that is actually legitimate. There are a lot of scams out there looking to take your money and run. There are things you can do to avoid being scammed by illegitimate online businesses.

Fellow the steps:

1. Type in keywords in a search engine which has products similar to what you are looking for, such as online sales business or drop shipping company.

2. Look at more than one company. You will see many options. Take your time and look through as many as possible, getting a feel for a cross-section of the field.

3. Search for the business’s contact information. Every legitimate company has contact information where you can email and communicate with a live person. Fax and email details only, aren’t good enough.

4. Call the phone number on the site. Talk to them for a while and get to know them better. Ask for a physical address, not a P.O. Box address.

5. Look up the company on the Better Business Bureau and on the Ripoff Report websites. These will give you a chance to read complaints, reviews and business details about the company you are researching.

6. If some suppliers offers a deal that seems too good to be true--it could be the case.  Never give out your information or buy something without thoroughly researching it.
